Tesamorelin

Tesamorelin is a synthetic 44-amino-acid peptide analogue of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH). It is uniquely modified with a trans-3-hexenoic acid group, which significantly increases its resistance to enzymatic degradation compared to natural GHRH, allowing for a more sustained stimulation of the pituitary gland.

Research Applications

Tesamorelin is a potent GHRH analogue studied for reducing visceral fat. It binds GHRH receptors in the anterior pituitary to stimulate endogenous growth hormone release, raising IGF-1 levels.
