TB-500
TB-500 is a synthetic, short-chain peptide analogue of the naturally occurring protein Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4). While Tβ4 is found in high concentrations in nearly all human and animal cells, TB-500 is specifically the 17-amino acid functional domain (Ac-Ser-Asp-Lys-Pro-Asp-Met-Ala-Glu-Ile-Glu-Lys-Phe-Asp-Lys-Ser-Lys-Leu-NH2) responsible for the protein’s primary regenerative and anti-inflammatory effects.
Research Applications
TB-500 is a peptide widely studied in regenerative medicine and sports science. It works primarily by increasing Actin production, which supports cell movement and structure. By promoting angiogenesis and cell migration, TB-500 may help repair tendons, ligaments, muscles, and skin. Preclinical studies show it can reduce joint inflammation and boost collagen formation. Its low molecular weight allows for systemic distribution, making it relevant to research on whole-body recovery and heart protection after ischemia.
