IGF-1LR3
IGF-1 LR3 (Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 Long Arg3) is a synthetic, high-potency analogue of mammalian IGF-1. It is engineered with a 13-amino acid N-terminal extension and a substitution of Arginine for Glutamic Acid at position 3. these modifications significantly reduce its affinity for IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs), resulting in a vastly extended biological half-life of approximately 20–30 hours compared to the 20-minute half-life of standard IGF-1.
Research Applications
IGF-1 LR3 is widely studied for its effects on cell growth, muscle hypertrophy, and metabolic regulation. It promotes protein synthesis by activating the AKT/mTOR pathway, and research examines its role in both muscle cell hyperplasia and glucose uptake, as well as its potential applications in metabolic disorders and regenerative medicine.
